Asa Johnson (1872 - 1957)
Asa Johnson was the son of Mary Ann Ivey and Joseph Hiram Johnson. Born in Richmond Virginia, he was one of nine children; only Asa and one brother, George Tyree Johnson, achieved adulthood.The family originated in the area of Petersburg, Virginia but relocated to Richmond following the Civil War.
