Barry Lee Johnson, age 73, of Jabez, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Barry was born on June 29, 1949 in Somerset, KY to the late Robert E. Lee Johnson and Grace Irene Roberts Johnson. He was a self-employed mechanic. Barry enjoyed working on old cars and playing music. He especially loved playing pranks on people.

He is survived by one son, Martin (Michelle) Johnson of Somerset; one daughter, Jennifer Epperson of Nancy; four grandchildren, Katelyn Jasper, Abigail Johnson, Lexie Epperson and Coleman Johnson; two step grandchildren, Seth Gover and Chandler Gover; three nieces, Ginger, Missy and Chasity; and his former wife and mother of his children, Janet Johnson of Nancy.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one infant son, Barry Lee Johnson, Jr.; one brother, Marshall Johnson; and one son-in-law, Stacy Epperson.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 5, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm EST at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 10:00am EST at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. John Piercy officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Lake Cumberland Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Barry Lee Johnson.
