NOTICE: Barry S. Johnson, 63, of Pasco, died Aug. 15 in Richland. He was born in Seattle and lived in the Tri-City area since 1984. He was a engineer tech. Mueller’s Greenlee Funeral Home, Pasco, is in charge of arrangements.

OBITUARY: Barry S Johnson
Barry Johnson passed into the Lord's hands on August 15,2018. He was born April 30,1955 to Wayne and Carole Johnson in Seattle WA, where the family lived until he was in Junior High. The family moved to Irrigon, OR for 2 years. His family returned to Seattle where he graduated from Mountlake Terrace High.

He joined the Army in 1974 and traveled to Germany where he was stationed.

He moved to Hermiston, OR after serving in the Army. He attended Spokane Community College and received his degree in Engineering. He moved to Kennewick, WA and worked in video electronics and vending machines from 1984 to 1996. Then he worked from 1996 to present at Red Lion Hotels and TRAC.

He made many friends with his skills and sense of humor. While working at Red Lion in Pasco, he met the love of his life, Esther. They were married in April 2005 and lived in Pasco. Barry felt very blessed to have Esther and her 2 children, Grecia and Steven, in his life.

Barry loved to spoil his 2 grandchildren, Ivan and Mia. He always had new pictures and stories to tell about children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed carpentry and was a fantastic artist. He loved to cook for the family but would never eat the leftovers, always had to be freshly cooked every meal.

Barry is survived by his wife, Esther; Daughter Grecia Gutierrez and her husband, Noe Rodriquez; Son, Steven Carbajo and his wife, Jennifer
Ruiz; Grandson, Ivan Carbajo and Granddaugther, Mia Carbajo. He is also survived by his brothers, Bruce Johnson (wife Heidi), Blaine Johnson (wife Wanda), and sisters, Bonne Jeager (husband Todd), and Bev Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Carole Johnson, and sister, Becky Fordice.

Viewing will be on Sunday, August 19 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St. in Kennewick.

The memorial service will be Monday, August 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S Union St. Kennewick.

Interment will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick.

I'm a Christian, and I'm a daughter of Allan B. Holbrook, now in heaven. My married name is Debby Stevens.
My parents, Allan and Marie, were devout Christians, and had 10 children. They were both school teachers, but Mom quit teaching at public school after marriage. But both Mom and Dad home-schooled us all - starting when I was in 1st grade - that's when they came to the decision to home-school us. Dad earned an income through being an English teacher here in Traverse City, for man years. Dad started some Bible meetings that took place in the homes of friends of ours and in our own. He was the main teacher in it, and it was in a discoursing style - he would talk about spiritual things with the fathers of the families, each time, and all the children of the families would sit and listen to it all.
