C. T. Grove
I have an old campaign card including a photograph of C. T. GROVE who was the Republican Nominee for Register of Wills in Felton, PA. I believe that this is a photograph of Christopher or Christian Theodore GROVE (records include different first names throughout the records) and was able to gather the following information regarding Christopher or Christian and his family:

Christopher or Christian Theodore GROVE was b. 19 Jul 1861 in Fawn Township, York Co., PA to parents Charles GROVE (1808-1897) and Elizabeth or Elisabeth Anna LEIB (1815-1880). Christopher was one of 12 children born to this couple including Joseph; John Wesley; Margaret A.; Mary Ellen; Francis Newton; Henry Perry; Laura Elizabeth; Cathrine or Catherine Jane; Charles Lieb; Sarah G.; Jacob Wilbur; and Christopher Theodore GROVE, all born between 1836 and 1861. It appears that his father was married previously and had one additional child, Christian T. GROVE b. 1830.

Christopher was both the Register of Wills in York County (elected in 1904 and served until 1908) and then an assemblyman in York County. It doesn’t appear that he ever married and was listed as a Merchant in Felton, PA during the 1900 and 1910 census. Christopher died 30 Jul 1920 in Felton, PA and is buried in the Zion Methodist Episcopal Cemetery in Hopewell Township, York Co., PA.

I’d like to get this item back to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: in Felton, York County, Pennsylvania 17322, United States
