Catherine May (Davies) Harding of Skipton,, Victoria County Australia was born on December 11, 1891 in Smeaton, Hepburn Shire County, VIC to Evan Davies and Mary Jane Williams. She had siblings Lewis Rowland, Margareta (Davies) Ashmore, Helena McKenzie, William Davies, Phillip Davies, Olive Nicholl, Lillian Davies, Florence Whelan, Samuel Davies, and Annie Davies. She married Tom Harding on February 28, 1920 in City of Ballarat County, Victoria, and had children Thomas Evan Harding, Frances Woodward, and Jonathan Edward Harding. Catherine Harding died at age 83 years old on March 31, 1975 at Skipton hospital. in Skipton, and was buried in April 1975 at Ballarat New Cemetery in Invermay Park, VIC.

My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
