Charley Griffels
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Charley GRIFFELS which was taken at the J. E. Anderson Studio in Vancouver, WA in the early 1900's. Charley appears to be in his teens or 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Charley and his family:

Charles August GRIFFELS was b. 2 Apr 1886 in Vancouver, WA to parents Thomas GRIFFELS (1852-1924) and Augusta MOLLIE (1851-1925). Charley had a brother, Frank Robert GRIFFELS (1894-1969) and a sister identified in his obituary as Mrs. T. J. BRYON of Brush Prairie, WA. Charley married Mae CLARK (b. 1885-d. 8 Oct 1936 in Washington Co., OR) and together they had a son, Avis Alfred GRIFFELS (1912-1990). The family was living in Banks, OR when Charley registered for the draft in 1918, listing his occupation as Farmer. In 1942 he was living in Cornelius, OR with his son Avis listed on draft documents as he closest living relative, living and farming in Cornelius, OR.

Charley died 9 Dec 1942 in Corvallis, OR and is buried in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Portland, OR.
