She married Seyed Javad Afsharzadeh on February 12, 1971 in Reno, Washoe County, Nevada and they later divorced. She was the parent of Yoseb Ali Jahan Afsharzadeh, Eric Anthony Grant, David Javier Afsharzadeh, Heather Rae Lelandra (Magallanes) Lomas, and Jennifer Marie Darlene (Poncé) Din. Terry Ponce died at age 68 years old on May 9, 2020 at Enloe Medical Center 1531 Esplanade, in Chico, CA, and was buried on July 11, 2020 at Cremated in Chico.
