Dad Dressed Up

I don't remember this photo but it is a good photo of my father, Emery Doan Holmes. Dad became bedridden with Emphysema which he contracted during the early years when he worked as a Fireman & Engineer on the Southern Pacific RR. My husband borrowed a stationwagon & brought him & Mama down to live with us in Alamo in 1957. That Xmas he drew cartoon greetings in his Mutt & Jeff style for all his old friends. He died in March of 58. The next month, I left to manage The Woods Resort at Lake Tahoe for my sister & her husband.
