A long-time Assistant Scoutmaster, David Johnson, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Mr. Johnson, was an active leader of hundreds of boys during his 30 years with the Livonia Troop #782.

Mr. Johnson formulated the First Year Program in the troop to help acquaint new boys to the scouting program, and took great pride in helping our youngest boys stay active in the scouting program. Hundreds of campouts, canoe trips and even trips backpacking in the mountains of New Mexico at the Philmont Scout Ranch gave him the opportunity to enrich the lives of boys in Livonia over these many years.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife JoAnn; his son, Scott; his son, David; his daughter, Amy, and his grandchildren.
