𝐉𝐎𝐇𝐍𝐒𝐎𝐍 - Mr. David Lee Johnson, aged 47, of Cascade, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, August 26, 2001.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his father, Fred R. Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Julie; his children, Nick Johnson of Ada, Kelly Johnson of Kentwood; a granddaughter, Brooke; his mother, Betty Johnson of Cascade; sister, Elizabeth (John) Bloomstrom; brothers, Tim (Julie M.) Johnson, Steve (Leisha) Johnson, Andy (Karen) Johnson, Paul (Paula) Johnson, and Matt Johnson; his grandmother, Mrs. William Scheltema of Alto; his mother- and father-in-law, Helen and Roger Jenkins; a sister-in-law, Janna Oyler; good friends, George Wagner and Tobin McCarthy; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Johnson was a former President of the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors, and was very active in the Kent County Conservation League.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home (3980 Cascade Rd., S.E.) with the Rev. Jeff Burr officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life c/o the American Cancer Society, 400 Ann St. NE, Grand Rapids, 49505.
