Days of '49 in Marysville, Ca.

They had a big parade in Marysville to commemorate the 1849 Gold Rush. There were ox teams, covered wagons, and a large Chinese parade. My grandfather Samuel Lewis & his brother Nathaniel came to Placer County during the Gold Rush. I borrowed this dress to attend the parade. I went to Sackrider's & had this photo taken. It was just before I left home.
