Edwin Howard Weeks
I have an old postcard photograph of Howard WEEKS who was the son of Grace and Leslie WEEKS who are identified as "Aunt and Uncle". Howard appears to be about one year old at the time the photograph was taken in the 1920's. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Howard and his family:
Edwin Leslie (went by Leslie) WEEKS was b. 7 Feb 1892 in Lane County, OR to parents John Fely or Feely or Felix WEEKS (1846-1923) and Emma Ellen LANE (1858-1943). Leslie was one of 6 children born to this couple including Etna M.; Julia Etta; Elsie June; Edwin Leslie; Minard or Minerd Erwin; and Ermine Mildred WEEKS, all born between 1876 and 1904. Leslie married Grace E. BAKER (b. 1903 in Kansas) and they had two sons Edwin Howard WEEKS b. 21 Dec 1922 in Creswell, OR and Hubert Clayton WEEKS (1921-2004) and he died on 28 Oct 1947 in Tehama County, CA and is buried in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Corning, CA.
Leslie’s obituary lists his survivors including hid wife, sons Edwin H. and Hubert C. WEEKS and grandsons too, all of Corning, CA; a sister Mrs. Julie SCHMITT of Creswell, OR and a brother Minard E. WEEKS
Grace Evelyn BAKER was b. abt 1903 in Kansas to parents Arthur William BAKER (1867-1959) and Emma Freda HODGES (1872-1952). Grace had to siblings with these parents, Ethel M. BAKER (b. 1907) and George Edward BAKER (1910-1971). Their father married again, and another child was born, Edna Wadine BAKER MICHIE (1912-1959). Grace was married a second time to Emmitt J. PEARSON sometime prior to the 1950 census of Corning, CA where Howard and his wife Joy and son Michael Douglas WEEKS were living with them. Howard was working as a Mill Hand at a local planning mill.
Michael Douglas WEEKS was b. 22 Sept 1947 in Chico, CA and died 22 Jan 1969 in Vietnam during the war.
I’d like to get this photograph to the family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.
Thanks,
Shelley
