Elma (Bowman) Simmons was born on September 8, 1862 in Milan Township, Dutchess County, New York USA to Jane (Milroy) Bowman and John S. Bowman, and had siblings Mary (Bowman) Duncan, Otis M. Bowman, and Louisa Bowman. She married Charles Bruce Simmons on January 2, 1884, and they were married until Charles' death on December 26, 1911. She had children Mabel B. (Simmons) Herrick and Dorothy (Simmons) Triebel. Elma Simmons died at age 81 years old on December 20, 1943 in Milan, and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains. I love antique photographs. In addition to sharing old photos of my family, I am also going through my collection of "antique store people". They've been sitting in a storage tub in my back room much too long and maybe some of their families will be able to find them here. If I'm able to identify the people in the photo, I upload it not only to AncientFaces, but also to Ancestry, FamilySearch, and Find-A-Grave. If the person in the picture is a military veteran, the photo also goes on Fold3. I figure that the more places I upload these pictures, the greater the chance that a relative will be able to find them.
