Fanny M. (Janssen) Roos, was born September 25, 1896, southeast of Syracuse, Nebraska.
She married Theodore Roos on October 12, 1916. Together they lived on the family farm southwest of Dunbar, Nebraska and later moved to a farm west of the Delaware Church (Nebraska). They retired in 1946 and moved to Syracuse.
Following the death of her husband in 1958, She did baby sitting and worked for many years at Community Memorial Hospital in Syracuse.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Syracuse, sang in the choir and was treasurer of the Dorcas Society for many years, until the church closed . She the became a member of Luther Memorial Church (Syracuse) and was an active member of the quilters group until her health failed.

Norma Jean (Roos) Dettmer of Syracuse, Otoe County, Nebraska United States was born on November 4, 1925 in Syracuse to Theodore "Ted" Wilhelm Roos and Fanny Meta (Janssen) Roos. She married Elmer Dietrich Friedrich Dettmer on October 12, 1944 in Syracuse, Otoe County, and they were married until Norma's death on January 14, 2005. She had a child Dee Ann (Dettmer) Young. Norma Dettmer was buried at Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse, Otoe County.
