He had siblings Martin J. O'Hare and Mary Elizabeth (O'hare) Defronzo. He married Renee H O'Hare in 1945 in Francs, Gironde County, Nouvelle-Aquitaine France, and they were married until Francis' death on October 8, 1958. Francis O'Hare was buried on October 13, 1958 at Long Island National Cemetery 2040 Wellwood Ave, in Farmingdale, Suffolk County.
