I have an old studio photograph identified as Carl BROWN taken on 13 Mar 1900 when he was 10 years old. The photograph was taken at the Acker Studio in Bedford, IA. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Carl and his family:
Frank Carl BROWN was b. 20 Dec 1889 in Gravity, IA to parents Newton T. BROWN (1862-1937) and Maud or Maude TOLER (1868-1936) who were married 14 Mar 1889 in Taylor Co., IA. Carl was one of 7 children born to this couple including Frank Carl; Emma M.; Jess or Jessie Toler; Everett Eugene; Luella C.; Addie M.; and William N. BROWN all born between 1889 and 1908. Carl married Mary Hazel SPUNANGLE (b. 1893) on 11 May 1923 in Shenandoah, IA and Carl died 18 Oct 1979 in San Antonio, TX and is buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
I am hoping to get this photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.
