George Ephraim Hockman
I have an old studio photograph of George HOCKMAN which was taken in the 1890's at the Kirk Studio in Mason City, IA. George appears to be in his teens or 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding George and his family:

George Ephraim HOCKMAN was b. 29 Oct 1879 in Cedarville, IL to parents Walter Lemuel HOCKMAN (1857-1907) and Sarah or Sara Catherine “Cate” YODER (1859-1953) who were married 25 Jun 1879 in Stephenson Co., IL. George was one of 6 children born to this couple including George Ephraim; Robert Stanton; Pearl or Pearle Fayette; Delmar or Delvan or Delmer Ward; Gail Henry; and Laura Belle HOCKMAN, all born between 1879 and 1898.

George married twice, first to Theresa Enora STAPELTON (1881-1959) on 10 Jul 1901 in Ute, IA with whom he had two children including Irene Violet HOCKMAN (1902-1987) and Pauline HOCKMAN (1905-1978). His second marriage was to Effie Marie RUSSELL (1889-1983). George died 20 Jan 1944 and is buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Pueblo, CO.

I’d like to get the photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
