George Hackstock or Hockstock
I have an old studio photograph identified as George HACKSTOCK which was taken at the Lawrence Studio in Weyauwega, WI sometime in the 1890's. George appears to be in his 20's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding George and his family:
George HOCKSTOCK or HACKSTOCK was b. 17 Jan 1870 in Neenah or Menasha, WI to parents Franz or Franziscka or Franziska “Frank” HACKSTOCK (1834-1898) and Anna or Mary “Marie” R. “Sophie” RESCH or REICH (1839-1915). George was one of 16 children born to this couple including Franz “Frank” E.; Moneka, or Monicka “Monica”; Mary or Maria; Therisa or Theresa or Theresia “Racy” or “Thracy” J.; Michael “Mike”; Joseph; Josephine; George; Anna; Verna; Powell or Privall “Paul”; John; Mary; Clara; Charles “Carl” Frank; and Elizabeth Wilhelmina HOCKSTOCK or HACKSTOCK, all born between 1857 and 1882.
George married O’Lena or O’Leona “Lena” Dorthea JENSEN or JENSTEIN or PETERSEN (1896-1947) on 16 Sept 1916 in Waupaca, WI and they had three children including Alfred Paul; Jane Marilee; and Charlotte Marie HOCKSTOCK, all born between 1917 and 1925. George died 6 Aug 1943 in Green Bay, WI and is buried in the Fort Howard Memorial Park Cemetery in Green Bay, WI.
