George Rellinger- Ridgefield Park High School

George Edmund Rellinger was born on April 7, 1918 in Ridgefield Park, Bergen, New Jersey, USA to parents Charles Aloyisious Rellinger (1881-1919) and Ellen Gudren Scott (1891-1979). He had half siblings Florence, Charles, Arthur, and Ellinor Rellinger. At the time of the draft registration on October 16, 1940, George was 22 years old. His residence was in Ridgefield Park, Bergen, New Jersey. He listed Philip Morris and Co. Ltd. as his employer. On January 1, 1942, George enlisted in the military, specifically in the CG (Coast Guard) branch. George's military service lasted until January 1, 1944, when he was discharged. He married Cecilia Mary Raab (1921–1999) on February 22, 1942 in New Jersey. The couple had children together; Robert Rellinger (born 1950), William Rellinger, Richard Rellinger, and James Rellinger.
