Description:
United States Postmaster General and later Secretary of the Navy, George von Lengerke Meyer. He was Postmaster General(1907 - 1909) under President Teddy Roosevelt and Secretary of the Navy (1909 - 1913) under President Taft.
As Postmaster General, he oversaw the introduction of the first vending machines for postal stamps!
