Henry Edward Alsobrook had stomach cancer and knew it was terminal. He prayed God would allow him to share one last Christmas with his family and he refused to remain in a hospital with that hope. On Christmas 1957, he rallied and was able to sit up in bed and play with his two young children and their new toys. Two hours into the following morning, he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
