I have in my possession a photograph of Ida LANDRETH WILSON which was taken in the early 1900's when she was about 8 years old. There is no studio or location noted on the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Ida and her family:
Ida Camilla LANDRETH was b. 11 Jun 1903 in Upper Harmony District, NC to parents Benjamin Perry LANDRETH (1856-1932) and Nancy Anne RILEY or ADAMS (1858-1941). Ida was one of 11 children born to this couple including Caroline Emily; William; Leode or Leoda Virginia; Annie L.; Amos P.; Sigmon Ceabrooks or Cesbrooks; Celevin; Monroe Mitchell; Franklin “Frank” Jackson; Virginia Elizabeth “Bessie” C.; and Ida Camilla LANDRETH, all born between 1881 and 1903. Ida married Shuford Arnold WILSON (1903-1971) on 12 Dec 1923 in Buncombe Co., NC and they had two children, Arnold Landreth WILSON (1924-2006) and Herschel Manuel WILSON (1938-2010).
Ida died 5 Feb 1983 in Trinidad, CA and is buried in the Montmorenci United Methodist Church Cemetery in Candler, NC.
I am hoping to get the photograph back to Ida’s family and would appreciate you contacting me if she is a member of your family or you know someone who might be.
