My Great Grandfather's sons built this grave for him when he died in 1933.

The marker says:
A DEVOTED HUSBAND
A LOVING FATHER
A FRIENDLY NEIGHBOR
A LOYAL CITIZEN
A LIFE ON THE FRONTIER

Location is Concord Cemetary in Ink, Arkansas
My gg grandmother was named Elizabeth Shaw, married Jordan Parrish in NC. Are you related to them? This is a very unusual gravestone.
Sorry, no. My maiden name is Anderson, Shaw is my married name and my husbands family all came from England where my husband was born.

Why my Grandfather and his brothers chose to build this unusual Grave We will never know. It was only recently discoverd by a cousin. He did some digging and also found some old family photos of my Great Grandmother and her sons in front of it.
