James M. Morris
I have an old studio photograph of Jim MORRIS which was taken in the 1870's or 1880's at the W. H. Morse Studio in Bradford, IL. Jim appears to be in his 30's or 40's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Jim and his family:

James “Jim” M. MORRIS was b. 24 Mar 1837 in Greene County, PA to parents James Turner MORRIS (1806-1897) and Joda or Juda or Zoda or Zada or Sadie GRIMES or GREENE or GRAHAM (1816-1851). Jim was one of 7 children born to this couple including John; James “Jim” M.; DeKalb; William G.; Martha; Mary Margaret; and Maria or Mariah E. MORRIS, all born between 1835 and 1848. After his mother died his father remarried and 6 additional children were born including Barbara Ellen; Isaac H.; Hannah Rebecca; Sarah Catherine “Katie”; George Washington; and David Walter MORRIS, all born between 1853 and 1871.

Jim married Dr. Henrietta Kate LITTLE (1847-1896 born in Massachusetts) on 15 Apr 1866 in Stark County, IL, and they had three children including Dr. John Little MORRIS (1869-1912); Charles “Charley” R. MORRIS (1872-1883); and James Claire “J. C.” MORRIS (1875-1914). Jim is buried in the Bradford Cemetery in Bradford, IL.

I would like to get this photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
