Jan's Sailor Portrait

It was 1946 when this picture was taken. The war was over and so was our life in Indiana. We left to return to California. I always miss Indiana. I enjoyed the rain storms, the leaves, and the greenery of the East. We had a nice house, good friends, and our Unitarian Church. Dr. Backus was the best minister I have ever known. It was a great congregation and had the best programs and philosophy of any church I have attended. I have always missed Indianapolis & especially my best friend Alberta.
