Jody Lynn Wolfe
Jody Lynn Wolfe was born to Charles and Ramona (Delgadillo) Wolfe. She had sisters Jennifer and Janet Wolfe. Jody, who was 14 years old when she died, spent her entire life in Fresno California, where she was murdered and is buried. In 1985, Jody, a 14 year old runaway, was raped and killed. The man responsible for her murder was later identified and was sentenced to death in 2018, thanks to advances in forensic technology. (See Fresno man sentenced to death for rape, murder of teen girl). The perpetrator was also found guilty of other crimes of rape and murder, although there was one known victim who had escaped with her life. To see more about his other crimes, see Rape trial begins for Fresno man who already faces death sentence. Jody's story was featured on an episode of "Swamp Murders" - "Down the Canal" - on August 16, 2016. The summary from the show says the following: "In Fresno, CA the body of Jody Lynn Wolfe washes up along the banks of Dry Creek Canal. Detectives can't imagine who could do this to the young teen. But the more they learn about Jody's life, the more they begin to realize this murder hits close to home." For a September 2021 update on the case and the status of her murderer, see Jody Lynn Wolfe Murder: Where is Eddie Ricky Nealy Now? See Jody's obituary at Jody Lynn Wolfe: Obituary A 2013 photo of Eddie Ricky Nealy, taken in court, can be seen at Eddie Ricky Nealy, Jody Lynn Wolfe's killer.

I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). For me, it's been a labor of love for over 20 years. I truly believe with all of my heart that everyone should be remembered for generations to come. I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US. I am so very proud of my hometown. For more information see Kathy - Founder & Content and Community Director
My family began AncientFaces because we believe that unique photos and stories that show who people are/were should be shared with the world.
