John Albert MAXWELL
I have an old studio photograph of Johnie MAXWELL which was taken in the 1890's when Johnie was just 2 years and 10 months old. The photograph was taken at the Leschinsky Studio in Grand Island, NE. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Johnie and his family:

John Albert MAXWELL was b. 24 Jul 1894 in Schuyler, NE to parents Albert Henry MAXWELL (1841-1904) and Lydia or Lyda Elliott HILL (1866-1957) who were married 27 Oct 1893 in Gage County, NE. His father was married previously and had one additional child, a daughter Alberta L. MAXWELL CRAWFORD (1877-1905). His mother married after his father died and she had one additional child, a daughter Anna COOLEY.

John married Ruth DAVIS or DAVIES (1898-1967) on 19 Feb 1920 in Fremont, NE and they had a son, William “Billy” Jack MAXWELL (1923-2000) and a daughter Benita J. MAXWELL MASTERSON (1920-2014). John died 18 Aug 1962 in Elko, NV during a business trip to California and is buried in the Ridge Cemetery in Fremont, NE. His son William was living in Oakland, CA and his daughter Benita MASTERSON in Flossmoor, IL at the time of John’s death.

I’d like to get this photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
