I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as John Danforth WILLIAMSON which came from the Stanton Studio in Springfield, OH. John's age is noted as 2 years and it is dated 7 Feb 1909. This was a studio that provided mail order photographs through newspaper advertising, so it is likely that John is not from Ohio. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding John and his family:
John Danforth WILLIAMSON was b. 1 Feb 1907 in Alpina, SD to parents Rev. Jesse Philander WILLIAMSON (1872-1941) and Ada “Addie” Melissa JORDAN (b. 1878). John had one sibling, a sister Helen or Hellen Lois WILLIAMSON (1910-1933). John married Grace Lucille HARRIS (1909-2002) and together they had two children. John died 25 May 1932 in Beadle, SD.
I am hoping to locate someone from John’s family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of his family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
John Danforth Williamson was born on February 1, 1907 in Alpena, Jerauld County, South Dakota United States, and died at age 25 years old on May 25, 1932 in Beadle County. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember John Danforth Williamson.
