John Matko was 18 in 1943 and going into the army and heading for Germany and WW II. He was from Monessen, Pennsylvania and the Uncle of David Nicolaus.

Hi my name is Sheila Motko, I was wondering if John Matko could be related to my family ..Half of my famiy used Matko and half Motko..My grandpa Joesph Matko and Grandmother Agnes Matko(nee Evansick). John Matko could be his brother. Sorry if I bugged you..I did have an Great Uncle named John
Hi Sheila, No we are not related. John's father was named Martin but his mother was named Agnes but her maiden name was Shotar. They came from Croatia. I have never known any one named Motko. I hope this helps. David Nicolaus
