John Nepomuk Scherzinger

I have three old photographs belonging to the SCHERZINGER Family of Evansville, IN including the following photographs:

1 - Louise SCHERZINGER, taken in the 1890's at the A. J. Feay Studio in Evansville, IN, about one year old

2 - Lulie SCHERZINGER, taken in the 1890's at the A. J. Feay Studio in Evansville, IN, infant

3 - John SCHERZINGER, taken in the 1880's or 1890's at the A. J. Feay Studio in Evansville, IN, in his 20's or 30's

Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this family:

Louise M. SCHERZINGER was b. 20 May or Jun 1891 in Posey County, IN to parents Julius Konstantine Louis SCHERZINGER (1863-1945) and Mary Magdalene or Madeline ZEHNER (1873-1925) who were married in 1890 in Evansville, IN. Louise was one of 7 children born to this couple including Louise M.; Emelia Carolina; Anna Lenora; Clara Margaret; Julius Elmore; Charles T.; and John Wesley SCHERZINGER, all born between 1891 and 1915. Louise died 20 Aug or Sept 1969 in Wadesville, IN and is buried in the Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville, IN.

John Nepomuk SCHERZINGER was b. 5 May 1851 in Carter Township, Spencer Co., IN to parents Mathias SCHERZINGER (1821-1887) and Genoveva or Geneva JOCKEL (d. 1858). John was one of 7 children born to this couple including Maria; John Nepomuk; Adam Adelbert; Bernard; Catharina; Franz Joseph; and Julius Augustin SCHERZINGER, all born between 1850 and 1858. John’s father remarried and had four additional children including Elisabetha; Mathilda; Julius Constantin or Konstantine; and Karl V. SCHERZINGER, all born between 1859 and 1870.

John married Hulda ZEHNER in Posey Co. IN, and they had two daughters Adeline E. SCHERZINGER (1877-1934) born in Posey County, IN and died in Evansville, IN and Caroline SCHERZINGER (b. 1879). John died 28 Sept 1909 in Evansville, IN.
