Joseph Early Little was born on November 10, 1824 in Alabama United States to Martha (Steward) Little and Josiah Little, and had siblings Francis Marion Little, Sarah Ann (Little) Stephens, Amanda Martha (Little) Anderson, Elimina P (Little) Dodson, and John P Little. He married Salina (Dodson) Little on October 27, 1845, and they were married until Salina's death on September 17, 1902. He had children Joseph Harrison Little, William Marion Little, Edmund Peter Little, John W Little, James Monroe Little, Richard Newman Little, and Missouria Little. Joseph Little died at age 80 years old on October 3, 1905 in Milam County, TX, and was buried in October 1905 at Bryant Station Cemetery in Buckholts.
