Michael Hobbs
As the great-grandson of James R. Hobbs, Sr. and Theodosia Allison Hobbs, then of Newcastle, Texas, I am seeking additional information about my father's side of the family.
My bride, Carrie Lynn Griffis-Hobbs, and I reside and ranch in Colfax County, New Mexico, between Springer and Cimarron. I have two surviving children, a daughter, Michlyn Paige Hobbs (Cottam), and her three children, Brady, Jaylyn, and Kolter, who reside in Angel Fire and Miami, New Mexico. A son, Shyle David Hobbs, who resides in Eagle Nest, New Mexico, and is unmarried. My youngest son, Kyon Daniel Hobbs, was killed in a ranch accident in 2011 and is buried on the UU Bar Ranch, south of Cimarron, New Mexico.

In the Summers co. WV 1910 census Henry Hobbs age 60 and his son Harvey age 22 are living with Henry's stepson Charles A. Hoover age 46, Charles' wife Nora age 40 and their sons George age 17 and Frank age 14. My g-grandmother Josephine (Phillips) Rohr lives with them. I don't know how the Hoovers and Hobbs are connected to the Phillips. I have pictures of Rose, Sally, Tom, John, and Bill Hobbs but don't know who they are.
