Julia Laura Sinclair Neill
I have an old studio photograph of Julia SINCLAIR which was taken at the J. W. Hurn Studio in Philadelphia, PA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1860's with Julia likely in her teens at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Julia and her family:

Julia Laura SINCLAIR was b. 1847 or 1848 or 1849 or 1850 in Prince Edward Island, Canada, to parents Rev. James Hall SINCLAIR (1821-1877) and Mary E. MCPHERSON (d. 1859) who were married in 1846 on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Julia was one of 6 children born to this couple including James John; Julia Laura; Alexander; Mary Ellen; Sarah Elizabeth; and Baby Boy SINCLAIR, all born between 1848 and 1859. Her father remarried after the death of her mother and 6 additional children were born including Annie; Edward; David Cunningham; Cunningham; Margaret; and Henry J. SINCLAIR, all born between 1862 and 1873.

Julia married Samuel Tate NEILL (1841-1896) on 15 Jun 1871, and they had two children including William “Willie” Cunningham NEILL (1872-1941) and Anne “Annie” Laura NEILL PAYNE (1874-1954). Julia died 23 Jun 1940 or 1941 in Titusville, PA or Sarasota, FL and is buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Pleasant Township, Warren County, PA.

I’d like to get this photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
