Labor Secretary receives silicosis report. Washington D.C. The second National Silicosis Conference in a report to Secretary of Labor Perkins today, recommended enactment of X state and federal laws for protection of 1,000,000 Miners subjected to dangers of silica dust. The conference also reported it was unanimous in recommending compulsory insurance coverage for silicosis in the compensation acts of all states. In the photograph, left to right: (seated) Verne A.
