Leida L. Myers Kent

I have an old studio photograph of Leida MYERS KENT which was taken at the Geo. Grorud Studio in Mondovi, WI. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Leida likely in her 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Leida and her family:

Leida LaVina or Louisa MYERS was b. 20 Apr 1880 in Dover, WI to parents Augustus “Gus” MYERS (1855-1933) and Anna “Annie” Julia or Julianna AMIDON (1863-1941). Leida was one of 8 children born to this couple including Leida LaVina or Louisa or Louise; Mary Julia; Nettie A.; Leigh Henry; Alexander R.; Charlotte “Lottie” Belle; Baby Girl; and Elma MYERS all born between 1880 and 1906.

Leida married William Henry KENT (1875-1956) on 2 Jul 1907 in Mondovi, WI, and they had 6 children including Chloe “Tillie” Wilma or Willma; Howard Lyman; Bessie Muriel; Hebard or Hibbard “Hib” William; Earl Leroy; and Alexander “Alex” Arthur KENT, all born between 1908 and 1920. The family lived in Gilmanton, WI until 1927 when they moved to Eau Claire, WI.

Leida died 25 Dec 1936 and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI.
