Louis M. Fetherston

I’ve “rescued” an old photograph of Louis M. FETHERSTON which was taken at the McDonald Studio in South Bend, IN. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900’s with Louis likely in his 20’s or 30’s at the time it was taken. In addition to his name, he has also written “Very Sincerely Yours” on the back of the photograph along with his name. Based on limited research I was able to locate him in census records as follows:

George FETHERSTON, son, age 22, born Mar 1878, born England, parents born Ireland, to USA 1880, a Salesman
Louis FETHERSTON, son, age 20, born Feb 1880, born England, parents born Ireland, to USA 1880, at School

1910 census of Chicago, IL:

Louis M. FETHERSTON, age 31, married 1 year, born England, parents born Ireland, to USA 1886, a Telephone Co. Agent
Isabel FETHERSTON, wife, age 30, married 1 year, born MI, parents born Ireland

1920 census of Chicago, IL:

Louis M. FETHERSTON, age 40, born England, parents born England/Ireland, a Telephone Subscriber Agent
Isabelle FETHERSTON, wife, age 41, born MI, parents born Ireland/Canada, a Public Welfare Speaker

1930 census of Chicago, IL:

Louis M. FETHERSTON, age 50, married at age 30, born England, parents born Ireland, a Telephone Subscriber Agent
Isabel FETHERSTON, wife, age 50, married at age 30, born MI, parents born Canada/MI, a Welfare Public Speaker

Louis FEATHERSTON, age 59, a widower, born England, Telephone Co. Assistant to President
Mary FEATHERSTON, sister, age 60, born England
