Mary Yagel Patton
I have an old studio photograph of Mary YAGEL PATTON which was taken at the Childs Studio in Houghton, MI. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880’s with Mary appearing to be in her 20’s at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Mary and her family:
Mary YAGEL was b. 28 Jun 1863 in Michigan to parents Joseph YAGEL and Elizabeth AMENT. Mary had two siblings including Theresa YAGEL and Killian YAGEL. Mary married William A. PATTON on 7 Nov 1888 in Hancock, MI. Mary and William had four children including Mae or Mary L.; William Howard; James Roy; and Joseph S. PATTON, all born between 1889 and 1896.
Mary died 28 Jan 1898 in Hancock, MI from TB and she is buried in the Saint Joseph Cemetery in Hancock, MI. Her youngest son Joseph died 15 Mar 1897 prior to Mary’s death.
I am hoping to locate someone from Mary’s family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
