Orson Smith
I have an old studio photograph of Orson SMITH which was taken at the Pruden Studio in Cortland, NY sometime in the 1880's that I’d like to get to a family member. Orson appears to be in his teens at the time the photograph was taken. Someone has also written "Cal" on the back of the photograph, which I am guessing this is an abbreviation for California. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Orson and his family:

Orson Bruce SMITH was b. 22 Nov 1872 in New York to parents Addis Emmett SMITH (1839-1909) and Dorothy STEARNS or STERNS (1845-1923). Orson had one sibling, a sister Alice SMITH (b. 1878). Orson married Maude P. SMITH (b. 1875 or 1876) and he died 14 Aug 1960 in Los Angeles County, CA and is buried in the City of Los Angeles, CA.

I’d like to get the photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: at Pruden Studio in Cortland, Cortland County, New York 13045, United States

Would he be Oscar Smith from Michigan? I have one living in Hart Michigan. He would be connected to my Russell line.
My mom was in California at one time.
