Paul Muni "Life of Emile Zola" premiere 1937

Paul Muni, standing with Hollywood's "Toastmaster General", George Jessel, at the premiere of the film, "The Life of Emile Zola", which won the Best Picture Oscar for 1938. Muni was nominated for Best Actor, but lost out to Spencer Tracy for "Captains Courageous".

I have been an avid fan of Donald Madden since the 1980's. I am very happy to contribute to this site on his behalf. 2018 marks the 35th anniversary of his passing and sadly, most of us are too young to have seen him on stage , not much of his television work remains, and for reasons of his own, he chose to do only one theatrical film. Still, the available examples of his work shows an actor masterful at his craft. I hope through the website to be able to keep his memory alive.
