Paul Stuart Voigt
Paul Stuart Voigt was born on October 20, 1927 in Evanston, Illinois, USA to parents Edwin Edgar Voigt (1892-1977) and Harriet Eleanor "Hattie" Hemstead-Dodge (1892-1955). He had siblings Theodore George (1925-1925) and Nancy Noigt (1929-2010). They lived in Evanston, Cook, Illinois, USA and Iowa City, Johnson, Iowa. On February 25, 1956 he married Lois Idoll Hughes in Minneapolis. The couple had children Kim, Ed, Hugh, and Chris Voigt. Paul had a life-long passion for math and science and attended Yale University around his time serving in the U.S. Army. He obtained a teaching degree from the U of M and started his career as a math teacher in White Bear Lake. He then became involved in computer science at Control Data and helped create the Cytrol Corporation where he worked until his retirement. Paul was active in the Kennel Club and served as Show Chairman. He personally owned Wellington Lhasa Apsos dogs. The Paul Stuart Voigt: Obituary states that he was "most of all a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Few things gave him more joy than to attend his grandchildren's music and sports events. If you were in the mood to talk, you could always count on him to fill any time available".

My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from. Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!
