Possibly Nancy Hamilton, mother of Mary Jane Mears

This is a photo of a possibly Nancy Hamilton, mother of Mary Jane Mears, who was born 1836 in Wilkes Barre, PA and died in 1914 in St Paul, MN. Mary Jane was ostracized by her Methodist family for marrying an Irish Catholic (Michael O'Brien (1826-1888). As a result, it was believed that relatives would send her photos with no writing on them in order obscure their purpose. The reverse of the photo has written in pencil: "St. Paul / Mom / May 9, 1875"
