Rev. David Heaton Petree, son of Riley Frost and Oletha M. Helsabeck Petree originally of Stokes Co. NC. He married Roberta "Bert" Crews, who was a daughter of Rev. Rufus W. Crews of Forsyth Co. NC. In 1911, David moved his family from NC to Callahan, Fl., where he believed he could do better at farming because of the longer growing season. (He did well, as he expected.) David and Roberta had nine children. He died in 1940, and is buried in Jones Cemetery in Callahan, Fl.
