A photo of Reverend Hazen Oaks: Photo found in an antique store in Everett, Washington. Back of photo says "Nora B. Ridenour, ST. John, Washington". Since the photo is of a man and not "Nora", I assume this is her husband Nicholas S. Ridenour found in the 1910 US Census living in St. John, Whitman Co., WA. Nora B. is listed in the household with Nicholas as his wife; also in household are children Hazen O. and Myron S. Ridenour. Nicholas was born in TN about 1862. The couple is also listed in St. John, Wa in 1930. Possible maiden name for Nora is "Oaks" as a Sallee F. Oaks is a 63 year-old widow living with the family in 1930, and is named as "mother". I am not related to this family and have no other info.
Clara, have you seen a photo of the Rev. Hazen Oaks? If this photo looks like him I'll change the name and correct the info! Thanks for the great lead in identification!
This is my great grandfather Rev. Hazen Oaks, born in TN in 1852 died in WA. 1911
He is NOT Nora's husband rather he is her father.
Hazen's second wife (not Nora's mother) was Sallee (McNew) Oaks.
