Richard Barbrick 1968

Richard E Barbrick was born on March 27, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Emil E Barbrick and Emily Fizel. He graduated from Schurz High School in Chicago and enlisted on November 5, 1945 in Chicago Illinois. He was a private and served in Korea and Japan. He met his future wife and lifelong partner, Mary Ann (Slapinski), at a dance and married her in 1950. She preceded him in death in 2005. Mr. Barbrick was employed by Wilson Jones Co. and worked in the office products industry as a sales representative for accounts in Indiana and Kentucky. While living in Indianapolis, the Barbricks were members of Saint Michael's parish. Richard was a member of many clubs throughout his life including the Elks Lodge, the Sokol and Gyro social clubs, and the American Legion Post in Lincolnwood, Illinois where he served as president.
