Richard Collett-British lst Life Guards (Cavalry)
This is my grandfather, Richard Collett who served in both the Boer War and WW1. His unit was First Life Guards. He was a fine horseman and a decorated soldier. He was also a wonderful man. He was born in Oxfordshire in 1881 and died in England in 1961. I am very proud of him.

He was my grandfather too. His youngest daughter was my mother. I remember him telling some of the stories that happened during both wars he fought in, and in the years between them. Ian
