Rick Chval 1996

Richard "Rick" Chval loved his mom.He loved his family,his friends,and his students. His students loved him back and affectionately bestowed on him the nickname "Mr. Tan Pants" due to his predictable wardrobe that resembled Mr.Rogers attire. Rick Chval loved sailing,the great wilderness,hiking trails,photography,Angels baseball,practical jokes,David Letterman,Seinfeld,the Simpsons,classical music,rainy days,and sunsets.His veins coursed with large amounts of Mountain Dew. He loved his God and brought joy to every room he entered.He had a winning grin,loved getting into trouble,loved cracking a joke. He was a member of the Sierra Club and acquired his Hundred Peak Emblem in his late 30's.He was extremely competitive and wonderfully kind.He saw the diamond in everyone.
