Printed on the page, "The following students, who have displayed outstanding proficiency in one of City's many sports activities, have been selected to City College's Athletic Hall of Fame. They join the ranks of many students before them by continuing to perpetuate one of City's most worthy traditions - athletic performance.

Aside from displaying prowess at their respective sports, they have helped to maintain the tradition of good sportsmanship on the field as well as off. Not pictured are the selections of crosscountry and basket-ball, who are Joel Kruh and James Aikens, respectively."

Roman Iwaszko was born on May 3, 1946 in Hamburg, Germany. He is the son of Stephan Iwaszko (1925-2010). Ray had no siblings-he was an only child. He attended Baltimore City College and played soccer there. See Roman Iwaszko- Baltimore City College. He played into his late 40’s. Roman was married to Elizabeth Sidlak and they had a son together, Stephen Iwaszko.
