Description:
The Russian royal family, the Romanovs, the last royal family of Russia. Seated (l to r) Marie, Queen Alexandra, Czar Nicholas II, Anastasia, Alexei (front), and standing (left to right), Olga and Tatiana. For decades, there were rumors that Anastasia and Alexi were still alive. (There were even individuals claiming to be them.) Remains found in the 1990's proved that all family members had been murdered.
The Romanov dynasty reigned from 1613 until the February Revolution abolished the crown in 1917.
