In this photo of Sgt. George O. Colon, it appears the eagle, globe and anchor emblem of the United States Marine Corps, not an army device, is shown on the man's campaign hat.
Carl, Appears you are correct. In my haste to post, I did not take note. Have many more to post from this newspaper...will try and be more careful with branch of service. Thanks for noticing.
