Sir Thomas Sean Connery

Sir Sean Connery (25 August 1930 – 31 October 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer. He was best known as the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again) between 1962 and 1983. Many say that he was the one true Bond. Although he went by "Sean Connery" his first name was Thomas - named after his grandfather. His mother was a cleaning woman - Euphemia "Effie" McBain McLean - and his father was a factory worker and a lorry driver - Joseph Connery. While he had deep Scottish roots in part of his family, 2 of his paternal great-grandparent immigrated to Scotland from Ireland (his gtreat grandfather was a Traveler.) He had one brother, Neil. Sean was married twice: 1st to Diane Cilento (1962 - divorced 1973) and 2nd to Micheline Roquebrune (1975 til death) His only child, Jason Joseph Connery was born of his first marriage.
